Hair Removal.

Hello Pawan!

Sorry for a late reply. To be honest I do not know of any home remedies that will actually work to remove hair.
There are many other ways to remove hair or to reduce the visibility of hair.

You can bleach your hair if you don’t want to actually remove it. Bleaching can cause your skin to get irritation due to all the chemicals. It can also cause discolorations on your skin. I would only bleach your hair if you absolutely do not want to remove hair.

Veet / Neat is a hair removal cream you can apply on unwanted hair and it will remove hair painlessly from the top layer of your skin. The hair will grow back faster since hair was not removed from the root. These creams can also irritate and burn the skin if left on for too long.

Waxing also has its pros and cons. The good thing about waxing is it removes the hair from the root quick and easy. It takes about 1-3 weeks for the hair to grow back depending on your body. The cons are some people might break out, if your skin is sensitive it will hurt, burn and cause redness for an hour or so. Over time waxing can cause skin to stretch and get loose.

Threading is my favorite method of hair removal. It is quick and easy. The hair is removed from the root, and growth can depend on the body. Mine is about 2 weeks. Threading is a bit more easier on the skin, and leaves you with a crisp and clean finish.

The last method is to get Laser hair removal. Laser is a safe process of removing hair. They use an invisible light of heat that destroys the root of hair while not damaging your skin. If you are getting laser done for the first time your skin may be red for a few hours after your treatments. The number of treatments depends on your body. If you can afford laser then get it done =)

Hope this will help! =)

Products to make hair thicker?

Hey Amy!

To make waves in your hair you first need to decide how lose or tight you want your waves. Also did you want spiral waves like Kim Kardashian or did you want more like a triple barrel wave.
If you want Kim Kardashian waves I suggest using a 1” – 1.25”, I feel like 1.5 does not create a full wave no matter how long your hair is. All you do is section your hair into 3 sections, Bottom (below your ear, middle ear to crown, and top which is the crown and top of the head). Then take 1-2 inch sections depending how thick your hair is and just warp your hair around the curling iron. No need to clamp the hair. Do that all around and at the end run your fingers through your hair to break the waves and spray your hair with finishing hair spray.

One of my most favorite and easy types of hair styles. Some of my favorite brands are Rusk, Hot Tools, Babyliss, and Chi. I do not recommend buying hair tools online. Sometimes their products come damaged and you cannot return or exchange. The best place to buy hair tools is at Sally’s Beauty Supply. They always have curling irons on sale too. I once bought a great one for 30 dollars.

If you wanted triple barrel waves section your hair the same way and just clamp a triple barrel curler section by section. That you can also buy at Sally’s. And the great thing about sally’s is it is open to everyone not just professionals.

Now to making your hair thicker, to be honest no there is nothing that can bring thickness back into your hair. Over the years we treat our hair with heat and color, aging, and diet has a huge effect too. I myself use to have really thick hair as well. Now all you can do it protect is as much as possible. Few things you can do to make your hair stronger, silkier, and shinier.

Hot oil massages. Some good oils for your hair are: Coconut, Almond, Castor, Alma and Olive Oil. You can warm it up and massage it into your hair. This will create blood circulation and help grow your hair. You won’t see dramatic effects but it’s a slow process.

Avoid washing, drying, and curling/ straighten your hair every day. Use high end shampoos like Pureology to help keep your hair clean for an extra day or 2. Also use dry shampoo to style your hair the next day if your hair does get super oily.

Leave your hair natural for days at home. I just wash my hair and while it is wet I apply a pump of Moroccan Oil. Moroccan oil is rich oil that does not make your hair oily, but it moisturizes your hair to the MAX. I have frizzy wavy natural hair, when I just apply the oil in wet hair it looks like I have waved my hair and my hair isn’t frizzy! ;)

Last but not least the most important for healthy hair is your diet, exercise and vitamins. If you do not eat healthy your body is not getting all the nutrients it needs which can cause poor hair condition and growth. Drinking 8 glasses of water, eating fruits and veggies is a must for a healthy diet. Fish is a good thing to eat since it contains omega 3. Some vitamins that can help hair growth are Biotin you can get it from GNC, Omega 3-6-9, and multi-vitamins.
And if you want an illusion of thicker hair, get layers, curl the tips and backcomb your hair.

Hope this helps. Sorry I didn’t want to shatter your dream but there is no magic product out there that can make our hair thicker.

Enjoy! =)
As winter is coming closer many people have been asking me if their lips are getting drier and drier by the day. Answer is YES! I will be sharing a few tips and tricks to help cure your dry and chapped lips.

First off you want to exfoliate your lips. Mix Vaseline and sugar into a small bowl. Using your fingers gently exfoliate your lips. This will remove all the dead skin and smooth your lips.

You can also apply a layer of honey on to your lips. Wait about a minute or 2 for the honey to dry, DO NOT rub your lips together. Once dry apply a layer of Vaseline on top. Honey is a great moisturizer it will hydrate your lips. Keep that on for 20-30 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Last but not least buy yourself some good lip chaps. My top hits have been Carmex (GREAT Lip chap has a strong smell and taste but it is amazing), Burt’s Bee Wax (all natural) and Nivea Lip Chap works great too.

Hope this helps. Protect your lips in the winter! ;)

Feeling Full Tip!

Feeling Full Tip: When I’m craving something or a bit hungry first thing that comes to my mind is having a few teaspoons of yogurt! I am talking fat free plain yogurt.

Yogurt is super healthy for you since it provides a good source of calcium which promotes bone and tooth care and can help break down fat cells.

Yogurt also contains a great source of protein which helps our body get strengthenand helps your feel full longer. Having a mid-day snack will make you eat less at dinner since you will feel full and prevents over eating

Many people do not like the taste of Plain Fat Free Yogurt in that case I suggest getting Greek Yogurt it is so yummy can’t even tell its plain and fat free.

I have a bowl of yogurt every day after my workout. You can always add fruit. =)

Got Blackheads, Blemish & Scar? Check out an all natural facial to fix all your skin problems!

Hey Jassi Bleaching your skin will only color your facial hair to a lighter color, but it will not help with your blemishes, scars and blackheads. Let’s start off with Blackheads. People get blackheads when there is excess oil on the skin and it combines with dead skin cells and dirt. Oxidation happens in your pore causing the black color.

First thing I tell everyone who wants a beautiful skin is you must drink minimum 8 glasses of water a day. Water helps to wash out toxins from your body. Then you must exercise on a regular basis, because when you exercise you will sweat and sweat cleans your pores. Also diet plays a huge role also. What you put inside your body reflects on the outside. Try to eat more vegetable and fruits and stay away from oily fatty foods. This will help you minimize your blackheads. Now to remove blackheads give yourself a mini facial. Using all natural products make a gentle facial scrub in order to unclog your pores. What I use is warm up 1/4 a cup of water and let a green tea bag soak in there for about 5 minutes. Green tea contains high antioxidants, is good for firming skin, removing blemishes and aging skin. Add 4 tsp. of sugar, sugar is great for exfoliating and also the powder leaves the skin smooth. Use that mixture to exfoliate the skin for 10 minute. Use circular motions to start removing dead cells from the skin and open ups the pores. Also it will stimulate blood circular. DO NOT be rough but gentle with your skin.

You can add extra ingredient in your scrub according to your needs. Lemon, Lime, Orange, Tomato & Turmeric – Lighten & Brighten (Scars, discolorations) Honey – Close open pores and to firm the skin Yogurt, Coconut Oil & Cucumber – To moisture and soothe skin Once you have exfoliated your skin rinse your face with Luke warm water.

Next step is to steam your face. Steam your face for 15-20 minutes. Once your face is steamed get 2 paper towel folded into square and where you see your black heads being gentle yet with pressure squeeze the blackhead together to remove them. Keep doing that till you can remove as much as possible. You may not be able to remove them all in just one facial.

Next use a natural based facial mask, you can use any of the ingredients above. I like to use Honey, Lime, Turmeric and little Yogurt. Leave that on your face for 20-30 minutes. Rinse off with Luke warm water.

Finish off by toning your face with the left over (cold) green tea and moisture with your face lotion! This facial and mask should help with your blackheads and also your pimple scars. It helped mine =) Let me know how your results were =)

How to feel full =)

QUICK TIP: How to avoid feeling hungry all day. First thing in the morning before you eat anything else. Have 2 glasses of water (warm or cold) squeeze one fresh lime and 1 tsp of coconut oil.

Coconut oil helps taking off excessive weight. Coconut has man great benefits such as: Heat Diseases, Healing Infections, Kidney Diseases, Bones, Diabetes, Hair care, Skin Care, and MUCH MORE.

Coconut Oil contains fewer calories than other oils; the fat content is converted into energy and does not turn into fat in the heart or arteries.

Want to minimize your open pores?

Here is the recipe for a great face mask!

½ tsp honey
1 fresh lime
1/8 tsp of turmeric.

Mix all ingredients into a paste, if the paste is too water you may add some flour to thicken it.

Using your fingers or a brush apply all over the face avoiding your eyes. Leave the mask on for 20-30 min.

Rinse with luke warm water.

You will notice a DRAMATIC change in the visibility of your open pores ;)

Sleek Cosmetics Blush Review (Nars Blush Dupe)

Hey guys!

So I want to start reviewing products from Sleek Cosmetics!
I LOVE their products from blush, lip sticks, eyeshadow palettes.
I will slowly review all the products I own and most likely compare then to high end brands.

I compared Sleek Blush to Nars Blush
Both the blushes contain 8 grams of product
The packaging on the Sleek is thicker but Nars is thinner and larger case.
As for pigmentation both of them are great.
Nars is $27 and Sleek is only $6!!!

So for those who want quality like Nars but can't afford it get SLEEK BLUSH!
They have such awesome colors too

My favourite is Rose Gold! =)
Hope this review will help you!

Have a nice day!

Quick Makeup Tip: Mascara + Lashes

Today I did a quick tip how to lengthen and thicken your lashes without a eye lash curler.

I hope some of you use this technique already, if not give it a try.

It does take come practice ;)

Thank you!

INGLOT HAUL!

Finally got to shop in Inglot store! I’ve been more excited to shop in Inglot then I was to be in Las Vegas! I already had made my mind for the things I wanted! When I got there I was kind of upset how small the store looked.

First thing I grabbed by a magnetic plate to pick my 40 eyeshadows I wanted to buy! There were so many colors, I swatched every color on my arm. In the end I picked only 29. Here are some swatches of some of the colors. The pictures do not do any justice my flash was too bright. But hands down their eyeshadows are 10 times better then MAC, and cheaper. Great colors, so soft, so pigmented, bigger in size and only $5 USD!

Then I moved to the lipsticks, again so many colors. I wanted to buy more than 5 but I had a budget for 200 for everything. Lipsticks was the hardest choice, I picked one nude and then rest pink and red shades. The lipsticks look real glittery in the picture because of the flash but they are not that glittery more on the frosty matte side. The lipsticks were great just a little needed to cover all your lips! These were $4 USD.

After I wanted to buy gel eyeliners, since I heard so much good stuff about them. SUPER pigmented and soft. The color selection was crazy from chrome yellow, green, blue, pink, white and more.  I decided to get white as an eye base color since they dried so fast, and black but the rep gave me dark grey insteadL. I love these eyeliners they are MUCH better then MAC & Bobby Brown gel eyeliners. Don’t fade, and are super water proof. You have to use strong makeup remover to get these liners off.

I tried to rub it off! They were still kind of wet

Then I looked around to see what else they had, I found Illuminators! Lately I’ve been mixing all my foundations with illuminators, and I got to say this is the best on I have EVER SEEN! One small little pump goes such a long way and SUCH a beautiful glow! I had to buy it. I saw a white pearly shade and a gold one; of course I got the gold one.

Last but not least, 3 brushes. This is one of the greatest eye shader brushes I used, not flimsy but not stiff. Was so soft and seriously held the eyeshadow no fall out! I love it. Only regret I wish I bought like 3 more of them! Then I got an angled eyeliner brush, which I have to clean right away with those waterproof eyeliners or my brush is hard. Last the brow brush. These brushes are great quality, light and comfortable to use.

I LOVE INGLOT! Much better then MAC and cheaper. I have already decided what my next purchase will be from them! =)

How To Make Your Makeup Last All Day Under Hot & Humid Conditions!!!

QUESTION: Hi Jyoti, How are you doing? I love your makeup video's and I had a question to ask... I'm going to be going to New York in August and was wondering if the weather there is hot and humid how would I keep my makeup (foundation and eye shaodw) from getting yucky and sticky. the last time I went my eye shadow had creases and looked very bad.. Do you have any ideas?

ANSWER: Hey!

I sure do have A LOT OF IDEA’S!! Let’s start with the foundation of your makeup! I will give you mini tips that will help your makeup last longer!

  • Before you apply your makeup always Cleanse, Tone, and Moisture your face. If you have oily skin use oil free moisturizer.
  • Apply a face primer before your foundation. Some good recommendations are:
    •  MAC Prep + Prime
    • MUFE All Mat
    • Smash Box Photo Finish
    • Nars Makeup Primer
  • In the summer time avoid using heavy foundations. Try a Powder Foundation. If you really love liquid either get a tinted moisturizer, or just mix 50% of your foundation and 50% of your moisture which will give you your own tinted moisturizer.
  • Setting your foundation is very important. Dip your powder brush into your powder (loose / pressed), you want to PRESS & ROLL the brush all over your face. If you swipe it back and forth first of all your moving your foundation, second your powder is being wiped off your face, and third you makeup wont set since the powder was not pressed into your face to lock your foundation! =)
  • Now as for your eye shadow creasing it is VERY IMPORTANT to you an eye primer not a base. An eye primer is something that will hold onto the eye shadow; avoid the eye shadow from creasing or fading. An eye base brings a pop to a eye shadow when applied. These are some of the eye shadow primers I work/worked with and they are great!
    • Lise Watier Eye Primer
    • Urban Decay Primer Potion
    • Two Face Eye Shadow Insurance
    • MAC Paint Pot
    • MAC Paints
    • Modern Basic Eye Shadow Magnet
  • If you feel that your eye shadow is still creasing with these primers either you have too much moisturizer or foundation on your eyelids, or you did not powder your eyelids. Another tip is after you apply the eye shadow primer allow it to dry for a minute or if you are in a hurry apply translucent powder over the primer.
  • Last but not least. This is an extra step if you are really worried about your makeup fading. At the end of your makeup application spray a SEALER spray on your face not a Freshener or Setting Spray.
A Fresher spray (MAC Fix +) freshens your skin before you apply foundation, a setting spray (MUFE Mist & Fix) is to set your makeup but it will not seal it. A Sealer spray will lock your makeup for the day. Some good ones are:
    •  Ben Nye Final Seal
    • Model in a Bottle
    • Invisible Finish
    • PS hair spray does the trick also ;)

Hope this helped all you ladies. May these tips help your makeup last ALL DAY!! =)
